[Opera-CONNIE] RES: RES: To-do list for next trip

Hi Guillermo,

Yes, I understood the choice of not using the wifi. Anyway, for some time I
turned on the wifi button to test it. And it did not work. After that I
turned if off.

Concerning the security key, last week I tried all the numbers (PIN, MAC,
etc) printed in the bottom of the TP-LINK router. No number worked as
security key.

But, as I said, we have now only the WAN port available on that router. We
are already looking for another hub to take tomorrow in order to extend the
number of available ports.

The only thing I think I did not try was to disconnect one of the cables in
the LAN ports and put the notebook there. They should try this tomorrow, or
go directly to another hub solution.

Thanks for the info.

Herman

Hi Herman,

the wifi network should be off in general operation. We do not want to
generate another access to the nuclear plant network.

The user/password admin is not the wifi password, is the access to the
router, so you can configure the wifi network as you prefer. The user/pass
of the router should be also in a sticker in router.

For the first camera, I followed the instructions on internet.

If there is no more ports in that router, we should buy another hub.

Let me know if you have any problem.

Best,

Guillermo

Hi Guillermo,

We tried to configure the 2nd camera last week. First issue: we were not
able at all to connect the windows-notebook in the TP_LINK switch. We tried
by using all the available passwords, and even with cable and by wireless.
Nothing at all. The notebook sees the wifi network but no password works. It
seems that the original password (admim) has been changed at some point.

It seems for me that we must have the windows-notebook in the same LAN
network as the 2 cameras in order to configure them. This is mandatory to
install the second camera. The notebook I was using already had the DLINK
software in order to install the camera. And here at CBPF I could check that
it works.

Could you please repeat for us, step-by-step, the procedure you have done to
install the 1st camera? And if the password has been changed, what is it?

A second issue is that the TP-LINK switch has only 4 outputs, and all of
them are in use now. There is a 5th output, but it is a different type.
Maybe we will need another switch to expand the number of ports.

Herman

Thanks Martin,

is anybody else going with Pamela and Alejandro?

The HD image is going to be done remotely? or the master is going to the
container?

Regarding taking out things from the plant. It would be a good idea to send
the list before to Luciano, because last time I tried to do it directly with
Lenildo, he asked me for a copy of the entry permit.

Also, let's try to understand how to configure the camera before going to
the container. Because we might need another computer in the local network.

Saludos

Guillermo

Hi all.

So that we avoid loosing information on what has to be done on each trip due
to many emails, I've put a to do list on CONNIE's wiki.

The link is http://icra.cbpf.br/twiki/bin/view/CONNIE/ContainerToDoList

In this way, each time a new item appears for the to do list, either on a
telecon or e-mail exchange, it can simply be added to the wiki, which would
be *the ultimate repository of such kind of information*.

For next trip I have compiled what I heard on the discussions on the
telecon, what I discussed with Alejandro and Pamela, and what was circulated
by e-mail.
Please feel free to edit this list (link above).
Please let me know if you don't have access to the wiki yet.

I am also reproducing the current list below:

To-do list for the trip planned for Jan 22, 2014

Before the trip:

        • Provide the transportation using CBPF's car+driver
        • Authorization to enter with new HD for Cyclone (this one will be
used to back up the system)
        • Authorization to take out old Cyclone HD (so that we use the
controller to try to recover the damaged disk)
        • Authorization to take out the vacuum station
        • Purchase cover for the crates outside the container
        • Borrow (with Alexandre Mello?) covers for the vacuum station and
the pipes
At the power plant:

        • Fix the new camera installation
        • Put new wraps/cover on crates outside the container
        • Cover the open pipe and the vacuum station
        • Count the unused lead bricks in the container (pile next to the
lsd machine)
        • Remove one of the 4 identical HD on Cyclone (check with Guillermo
(?) which HD to disconnect) and take it to CBPF. Take pictures of all the
connections so that the HD is put back in the very same position
        • Install new HD on cyclone
        • Get the vacuum station, condition for transportation, and take to
CBPF.

Cheers.

Martin.
