Yes.

We are taking a 3 TB HD to be installed in Cyclone for this purpose.

Now one question. Cyclone had 4 HDs. One was taken to CBPF. Which of the other 3 we can take tomorrow, so as to use it's board to recover the damaged one?

A disclaimer is that Marcelo mentioned that they used to follow this procedure to recover HDs years ago (swap the controllers).
However, for some reason, since about 2yr they have not succeeded anymore in recovering any HD.
It could just be bad luck, but he guesses that perhaps now the boards only work with a specific serial number of the HD.
Anyway, let's see what happens and it this does not work, we will send to the recovery company.

As Herman mentioned, there is the physical problem of lack of ethernet plug on the d-link switch.
There is one slot remaining, but in different color. Can this one be used or we need a new switch?
