yes, that's right.
Should we try to connect it directly to the line? is that connector a PC connector?

I measure 110 volts at the rougher and the minimum spec is 90v.

I was interested in voltage at the rougher . Measured by removing the power cord going into the rougher (see the earlier picture). This would help understand if it is the HiCube or the rougher.

Kevin,
the switch selector is in the "115" position, and the measured voltage in the cord of the vacuum pump is 120V which seems to be in the voltage range: manual MVP 015-2, page 10. This power is coming from the UPS.

Is There 110 volts on the input to the rougher at the end of the AC cord into the Rougher?

Maybe the problem is in the fuses?

Hello,
Response to Juan suggestions:
1) loose ac plug to the backing pump. See the grey cord in the attached picture, it should have
a latch holding the plug in place.
all the cables seem to be in the right place and well attached
2) the green I/O switch on the backing. This switch could be hard to see, look at the attached
picture.
the green switch on the backing pump is ON.
Questions:
1) does the turbo pump get to full speed?
2) what is the vacuum gauge measuring?
the gauge is measuring 22mbars. We didn't let the turbo pump to run for a long time in case the high pressure (22mbars) produce some damage on it.
Do you want us to try it?
Guillermo

Hello
we are looking at a pump exactly the same as the one you have in CONNIE.
The only way we can get the turbo pump to spin without turning ON the backing
pump is by disconnecting the AC power to the backing pump.
We can imagine two ways to do this.
1) loose ac plug to the backing pump. See the grey cord in the attached picture, it should have
a latch holding the plug in place.
2) the green I/O switch on the backing. This switch could be hard to see, look at the attached
picture.
Questions:
1) does the turbo pump get to full speed?
2) what is the vacuum gauge measuring?
Thanks,
Juan
