[INCT-IQ-Comunicados] Postdoctoral position - theoretical condensed matter physics

Dear Colleague,

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral scientist position starting between July and September/2022 in the group of Professor Vivian França at UNESP Araraquara, Brazil.  

The postdoc will do theoretical research on nontrivial condensed matter nanomaterials, in particular investigating critical phenomena, quantum phase transitions and entanglement which can be relevant to the development of future quantum technologies. It is desired that applicants have experience on strongly correlated systems, density functional theory (DFT) methods and/or other numerical methods such as exact diagonalization, DMRG, quantum Monte Carlo, etc.

FAPESP Fellowship period: 2 years
Month salary: 8,479 BRL (average living cost in Araraquara ~3,000 BRL) + 10% of the annual incoming for travel and other expenses related directly to the research.
